In theory, it's all about the fiber – knitting, crocheting, sewing, and spinning – but really, it's all about my life.

I Blame Cristi and Aimee

Yes, this is all their fault. See, Cristi took me to Charlotte Yarns while I was visiting her for SAFF. And Charlotte Yarns has beautiful stuff, like the Alpaca and Silk I showed you last week.

Also, like this.
KFN_2534
Fleece Artist Scotian Silk (64 wool-35 silk) in (I think) “Madder”.

It’s gorgeous. It’s soft, and springy, and works up beautifully.

Why do I know this? That would be the part that is Aimee’s fault. See, she was telling me about how she was making Sursa (from the Noro Yarn Cornelia Tuttle Hamiltion Book 2), and that she was using some Scotian Silk for it. So, when I decided that I wanted a mindless project for my usual Thursday meetup and that I might even be able to work on it backstage a little… I cast on.

So, yeah. TOTALLY their fault.

    Hi Pam:

I agree… blame your friends!!! Can I blame them for MY recent handmaiden/fleece artists purchases too? Then… when I go and buy Scotian silk (which I have been avoiding like the plague), I’ll blame you. LOL

    It looks absolutely lovely!

    cheers

Considering what it looks like, they did you a favor. Pretty doesn’t even begin to describe how it’s knitting up.

It’s gorgeous! (The Sursa, not the guy peeking out from under the Sursa). I made a vest from it and Fleece Artist recommended working from 2 skeins at once to prevent pooling. But yours is knitting up well. It was so nice to work with.
