Innocent Knitter Under Negative Influences

Dateline: Bowie, MD

Friday afternoon, reports state that two crazy knitters invaded the house of one “trillian42″ for a weekend of yarn shopping, knitting, friendship, and general silliness.

Rumors indicate that these two knitters (known as “turtlegirl76” and “Ali”) kidnapped a Bowie native and forced her to accompany them to a location known as StitchDC, where they made her purchase yarn at a fabulous 25% off, due to a Leap Day sale. They then dragged her to Banana Cafe, where she was forced to imbibe a caipirinha and ropa vieja. That evening, they returned to the victim’s home, where they watched “Across the Universe” (A FANTASTIC movie), chatted, and knit.

The following day, the two invaders once again took the victim on the road, where they met up with one “alicec” for lunch, and then did further shopping damage at the Celtic Knot. Alicec, being a nefarious influence, convinced the victim to sign up for a beaded bracelet class with her, to occur in approximately 10 days. They were joined there by “Roxy“, and then took the victim on the road once again to All About Yarn, where Roxy tempted the victim into purchasing a new Namaste Everyday bag (in Rust, if you are wondering).

After leaving All About Yarn, alicec departed the group, and the others headed back to the victim’s home, where they were joined by PocketSizeStudios. There was imbibing of alcohol, playing of Trivial Pursuit, and ridiculous amounts of laughter. We have obtained photographic evidence of some of this. Those with delicate constitutions should look away.

Authorities ask that any further evidence of the weekend’s activities be submitted so that the victim can convince her husband of her innocence in any and all of the goings-on, and that it was all the bad influence of the invaders.

Rumors indicate that at least one of these invaders may be returning in two months for a weekend of debauchery known as “Maryland Sheep and Wool”.
