Stripey Baby!!
OK, first, thank you all SO MUCH for your words of encouragement on yesterday’s post. It really means a lot to me that y’all have my back. Also, I believe that at least to start, I’ll be doing that dvd every other day, instead of every day like they want you to, because OHMYGODDOMYLEGSHURRRRRRRT! My quads are just killing me today. But I’ll be honest, it’s a good pain – it’s an I-pushed-myself pain. I won’t go so far as to say that I like it, but it’s definitely a reminder that I’m doing a good thing. And I’m going to keep doing it.
And now, for a finished object. Presenting the completed Rocketry Baby Sweater!
Done in Lion Brand Cotton-Ease (better for a summer baby than the Dream in Color Classy that the pattern calls for), in Terracotta, Maize, Violet, Lime, Taupe, and Lake, with the edging in Lime and the braided edging in Lime and Maize.
Isn’t that cute? It was a little fiddly to work, but I really like the way it looks once it is completed. It’s a super quick knit. I had most of it done in about three days, and then left the last half of the second sleeve until after the Vegas trip (didn’t want to deal with DPN’s and color changes on the plane).
Brace yourselves for a number of small things here on the blog. Don’t get excited, though – no miracles. They aren’t for me. I’ve got three more friends’ babies to knit for in the upcoming weeks – one who just arrived (the BSJ in progress that you saw yesterday), one due in July (probably a BSJ in some Bernat Organic Cotton), and one who arrived in October that I’ll get to meet in July. I JUST realized that I hadn’t knit anything for her, so I’m still debating on what I’m making for her.

Really cool edging! I like it! It looks so cute and snuggly soft in the cotton ease. Nice. (And I could see all the pics!)

My LYS has been selling kits for Tulip and Rocketry (guess who wound the kits? ME!) and they’re just so damn cute. Of course, I don’t even have pregnant friends right now, so nobody to knit cute little sweaters for. Oh well! (and don’t waste that sore! Just go for a walk but do SOMETHING TODAY!)

Oh, very cute. Added to my mental queue. And the edging is adorable!
For a girl baby? The EZ baby sweater on two needles (the February sweater). I’m dying to make one of those. So. Friggin. Precious.

Very cute! I dig the edging, and the little v’s throughout – it almost looks like puzzle pieces!

So cute, infact, after I saw yours being knit earlier I got the pattern. Glad it looks so good in CE!

As much as you know who seemed to popularize the sister sweater to this–I love it! That edge is really cool. You’ll have to let us know how you did that.
