Ravelympics Update 1

After a nutritious breakfast (Quaker Oatmeal Bar and citron tea, in my JenniethePotter sheep mug)

HPIM0372

I grabbed my hook and yarn, and the Santa Fe Shawl began!

HPIM0376

As of 11:02 am, I had 7 motifs complete, out of 82 for the whole shawl.

8-8-08 1102AM

I love the join-as-you-go method of this pattern. I’ve got lots of ends to weave, but I’m thinking I’ll tackle that each night, sort of as a wind-down.
Off to grab lunch, and then back to the hook!

Nice progress! I guess not everyone is as insane as I am. FYI…waking up at 4.45am so you can cast on at 5.08am a new project is not something I recommend doing very often.

Um, you’re supposed to make a challenging project, looks like you’ll be done before the weekends out.

Lookin’ good! Love the colors! I’m digging into my WIP first thing in the morning if I can’t convince J to drive to dinner tonight so I can knit in the car. “But, honey, it’s YOUR sweater…..”

It’s the Olympics woman! You should be carbing up with lots of pasta and bread and stuff. Although, that would be a little much for the wee hours of the dawn…

Go you! Sadly, I’ve not even casted on yet! In about an hour though! Looking good so far!

Nice! I cheated slightly and casted on about 6:45am but that was because I was awake due to an asthma attack that woke me out of my sleep. I was up, so I figured why not? LOL

Lookin’ good – you’ll be done in absolutely no time :)

    *hug*

That’s a good project, enough variety to keep it interesting.

I like the colours – what yarn is this?

Looks very nice in the colors you selected. All those ends would be the death of me although your plan to take care of them at night sounds like a good plan.

Nice progress–keep up the good work!

Oh wow. It’s gonna be gorgeous! I love that pattern and pondered if I was up to that sort of crochet challenge yet. I’ll live vicariously through you.
