Ravelympics Update 3
I’m past halfway!
OK, not by much – that’s 45/82 motifs done, but I’m still on a good pace. By the way, that dark red flower-shaped motif up on the right corner is the upper right point, and the one with the blue marker is the bottom point. That should give you an idea of the size when this is done. And yes, we have a new background for the picture tonight. I’m hiding out in the bedroom watching the Olympics, because Kris has taken over the downstairs tv. He’s been sucked in to playing Halo 3 on the XBox with Carrie‘s boyfriend and some of his buddies. It’s ok, though – I think he needs that boy-centric stuff sometimes.
So, yes, I’ve been thoroughly enjoying watching the swimming again, and I’m even considering looking into finding someplace around here to start swimming again myself. It’s been a really long time, but I really did enjoy it. (And no matter what me-Nikk says, I really wasn’t very good. She’s just too sweet to say that.) And in watching beach volleyball earlier, I think I’ve got a total girl-crush on Kerri Walsh. She’s just adorable. Plus, I totally want her hair.

The shawl is looking completely awesome! And you are a speed demon.
Yeah, all boys need that male-bonding time. Keeps them manly, know what I mean?

Damn! You’re sprinting to the finish in this one. Doesn’t your crocheting hand cramp up?

I love that shawl! It inspired me to pick out some yarn for it….even though I don’t really know how to crochet. But hey, what’s that to stop me?

ok…
Ask Daddy B. He even thinks you were a good swimmer and used to wish I were more like you in that area. C’mon! DOn’t you know this?!?
I remember going to our pool way out in bumbleland one Sunday with you and swimming the length of the pool which you did with ease as I struggled to keep up. I STILL don’t know how to swim and breathe. STILL.
I hope that you do find a pool, and I will be envious from afar. It’s sucj good exercise and meditative and all that… Maybe someday when I’m rich I’ll hire someone as a personal swimming trainer to teach me in my private indoor pool so noone will see me as I doggie paddle my way to expert swimmer. YES! NOW THAT is THE GOAL!
I love you!
And I love watching this ravelympics. Sorry, but that’s as inspired as I get as far as watch.
GO PAM- GO PAM- GO GO GO PAM!!!
WHO’s the knitter?!? HuhHuh?!? You know you want some of her!
Yay babeeee…
