I Heart SunTrust
Seriously – they called me last night before I even had a chance to see the fraudulent charges, stopped two of the three from even hitting our account as a temporary authorization, and made dealing with it super fast and easy. I stopped by the bank this morning, and within about 10 minutes, I had a copy of the affadavit signed and faxed in to them to take care of the fraudulent charge. The money will be back in our account within 72 hours.
So, all in all, not a bad experience. A pain in the ass to deal with, for sure, but they certainly made it as smooth and simple as it could possibly be.

My bank is SunTrust, too. And they called early in the am on a Monday after the charges had been made, but before they could be authorized. They are on top of things.

Heck yeah. Glad to hear ST took care of you. I am so p***ed off for you having to go through all that nonsense but I am very happy you’ll get monies replaced.
We missed you @ knitting – holla back when you settle down

Nice! Now I wonder what did said crooks buy?
Do you think the bank would have called you if $800 in money was spent on yarn? I wonder how closely they keep track of our spending habits so they can be alert to this stuff?

Yay! That’s great, I’m glad there is a bank that cares about its customers.
