Yes, More Sewing
And yes, it’s another wristlet.
But, there is something special about this one! This is the very first thing I have sewn on my birthday/Christmas present from my darling hubby:
My brand-new, picked-it-up-today Bernina Aurora 430. It is a thing of beauty, and I am completely in love. I’m in negotiations with hubby to modify the Ikea desk on which it sits so that the machine will sit down and the desk surface will be even with the sewing surface. We’re still trying to figure out how to do that. I’d like to modify the desk I already have rather than buying a new one.
And since I was informed that I don’t post enough pictures of my beasties, here’s another shot of Rowena, in her “Jabba the Hutt” pose.
I’ll have to get more pictures of the rest of the crew. They just aren’t as photogenic as some other people‘s animals.
Have a good one!

I can totally hear Rowena’s voice going “Huuuh huuuhuuhh… SO – LO!!”
Bernina. Sighing enviously.

Yay, Berninas!!! I’m so glad you found a machine that you love!
Now if I could just remember where I’ve seen the DIY sewing tables. I have some mental images, but I can’t figure out how to explain them to you. You’ll need a “wide” cutout at the proper depth for the machine to sit on, but you’re going to want something narrower so that the free-arm is surrounded by something. But that creates problems for bobbin access … hmmm… I’ll shut up now and ponder. Perhaps a few piccies of my Koala cabinet are in order!
