In theory, it's all about the fiber – knitting, crocheting, sewing, and spinning – but really, it's all about my life.

Just in Time

So, in between a week of rehearsals last week, and tech week this week, I had Saturday off.  So, of course, I relaxed, right?

Ha.  Y’all are funny.

Kris and I decided to tackle a little project.  Do you remember the giant 75 gallon fishtank?  (And I say this to those of you who have been here, because apparently we never took a picture of the silly thing)  Well, he decided that it was time to give up the fishkeeping, so after taking the three fish that lived in the tank to their new home at the local pet store, he cleaned out the tank.  (This was actually while I was at rehearsal on Friday)  Saturday morning, we got up bright and early, assembled the Ikea kitchen island I had picked up on Friday, cleaned out and rearranged a closet, and ended up with this:

Still not sure what it is?  Let me show you the other side.

That’s right.  There is now a bar in my living room.  And I love it.  The closet looks good, too.

Now, we’re just trying to decide what we are going to hang on the wall.  We considered getting a Yuengling mirror, but I’m afraid that will be a little too “single college guy” for my tastes.  I’m sure we’ll find something, though.

And why “Just in time”?  Because this weekend is Maryland Sheep and Wool, and some of my dearest knitting buddies will be here.  We’ll be getting our party on quite thoroughly Saturday night.  And probably Friday night as well.  (Local folk – nothing official, but come over!  Alex is kidnapping/rescuing Kris, so it will be a girl-heavy evening.  Just FYI.)  :D

Nothing wrong with a Yuengling Mirror but perhaps Duclaw has something? Or you could move the Duclaw glass collection over there.

I cannot WAIT to break in this bar! Woo!
