It was "OK" at best. The woman playing Elpheba dumped the high note at the end of Defying Gravity, and the show was, at best, enjoyable. We saw the touring cast in Pittsburgh last fall and it was a completely different experience. The whole show was fantastic, the second act made me cry. I thought it was wonderful. Glad you had that second experience first! To rebel, seeing the show the first time prompted me to read the book. It was fine, I didn't love it. I do love this show.
