In theory, it's all about the fiber – knitting, crocheting, sewing, and spinning – but really, it's all about my life.

A Full Bobbin!

I’ve spun at least a little every day since Saturday, and I’ve got my first bobbin full of the green merino-silk.

And, um, still a basketfull left to go.  :D

I played with it a little, and if I don’t end up with three bobbins to ply, I’m going to Navajo-ply it, because it’s really nice as a three-ply.

I’m just idly reading by, and then I have a “WHATHA??? Isn’t that …. I think it’s …. I’m *sure* it’s …” moment! Had to go back one entry to one I missed to be sure, but YUP. That there is some FINE Louet merino silk, bought in one of the oddest “yarn shops” I’ve had the pleasure to visit. “Marty’s” in the small ski/cottage community of Haliburton, Ontario – half the store is health foods, the other half yarn. I’m so glad to hear it is spinning up beautifully for you. It wants to be laceweight, doesn’t it?? ;-)

Long distance XX’s to you, my friend.
