I Fell Down
See, I’ve been pretty good lately. Haven’t been buying much yarn or fiber, because I really, really have been trying to work from the stash. And then Olga Tweeted on Wednesday that she needed a local to help her out with a design (She needed someone to work up a sample, so I can’t blog about it). I volunteered, and went down to Alexandrian on Friday to meet her. Since she works at Knit Happens, well, what was the likelihood of my leaving without picking something up?
Yeah, not good. 
They had just gotten some DiC Smooshy, and I couldn’t resist.
The color is “In Vino Veritas” – it’s a gorgeous deep red. It’s going to be a second Ishbel, more of a fall-winter one, because I enjoyed doing the first one so much. And I’ll probably figure out how to enlarge it, too.
And in other news, wish me luck. I’m auditioning for a play tonight, and another one tomorrow. It’s been far too long since I’ve been onstage, and I’m pretty nervous.

I was wondering who had volunteered – she was talking about it when I was there yesterday! That Smooshy is YUM. I almost fell down myself when I saw the basket on the counter!

Lovely. “In vino veritas” always makes me think of Doc Holliday in Tombstone (Val Kilmer.)
The color reminds me of the DiC I “fell down” on while you were out here. I started socks. Even took pics. (You’ll see them eventually….)

Beautiful color! I love DIC Smooshy,,, as I’m doing my Ishbel in Cloud Jungle. Hey post about how your enlarging it. I am so bad with the math, and was afraid to make it any larger than the smaller size in the pattern. Inquiring minds would love to know!

I bought my 1st hank of DIC this past weekend and it was Smooshy in colorway Blue Lagoon. Can’t wait to wind it up and use it. Any idea what pattern your yarn is destined to crank out?
