Fri, 24 Sep 2010 03:31:59 +0000 en hourly 1 http://wordpress.org/?v=3.0.1 I’m Off to See the Wizard! http://blog.katydidknits.com/2009/06/03/im-off-to-see-the-wizard/ http://blog.katydidknits.com/2009/06/03/im-off-to-see-the-wizard/#comments Wed, 03 Jun 2009 20:49:18 +0000 katydidknits http://blog.katydidknits.com/?p=1354 So, y’all may be aware that I’m a bit of an Oz fan.  (Anyone who has seen my guest room is WELL aware)  So, when not one but TWO different Oz-themed yarn clubs popped up recently, it was a pretty foregone conclusion that I was going to be joining.  (And considering I got several emails of the “Hey – wanted to make sure you knew about this” about each of them, I’m pretty sure you guys knew about my fandom.)  I’ve gotten two shipments from the Fresh From the Cauldron club, which I need to get pictures of and post – I just realized I hadn’t done yet.  Today, I got the first shipmend from WoolGirl‘s Oz Sock Yarn Club.  I’ve heard about WoolGirl’s clubs, and that the packages she sends are really awesome.

I had no idea.

I open the box, and this is what greets me (Obviously, beware spoilers if you are in the club):

Beautifully packaged, tissue paper everywhere, and so much more than just the yarn.

And OMG the yarn. It’s Zen String Lotus Toes in sportweight (we had the option of sport or fingering) in (of course) “Over the Rainbow”. It’s beautiful.

The colors are just amazing. And it is SO SOFT.

I am so, SO glad that I signed up for the whole club. This is going to be awesome.
